So many people were "born with ski on their feet". Lucky them :) I was terrible at skiing up until this happened...
Somewhat embarrassing, but the truth is that this was me on the picture bellow a while back. People understandably used to stare at me. Maybe you were one of them out there somewhere on the skitracks? π Remember me? Yeah! That was me on the ground π
I certainly wasn`t born with ski on my feet as you can see, but then again my motto is “never give up”. I could really really see myself skiing like a pro with my mind`s eye. I was thinking, if I can really want it so much, then I could do it. Skiing downwards was mostly the challenge in the beginning π I kept on practicing and my skiing skills have improved overtime.
Practice makes perfect. Soon enough I could proudly ski along both day and night. People have finally stopped staring at me “trying to ski” as I was finally skiing as normal. They smiled at me and said hi to me instead.
This didn`t last long though. Soon enough people were staring at me while skiing again, just in a different way this time…and not only that. They would stop, gather around me, take pictures of me and ask, if they could take pictures together with me. Funnily enough they acted almost as if I won the gold medal at the Winter Olympics. I could almost feel the medal around my neck…almost. It felt so real! It felt like it anyway until I had to get real and admit to myself that the reason for the attention was something else. Then reality kicked in and the gold medal disappeared in the mist.
As I realised that the real reason of the attention from all other skiers and residents was an assignment I had posing at a photoshoot / videoshoot, skiing & wearing a wedding dress among all the other things in the world π
I know many of you would want to know more about this photoshoot and the dream wedding dress from Orchid π
In fact I have a very interesting story connected to it, and perhaps a surprise for you π I`m going to be a bit cheeky this time as I want to build up some excitement around this you guys, so I won`t tell you more about it just yet π I will certainly share all about it in detail later on this week. Stay tuned in! π
Have a wonderful evening π P.S: I still think it was a great experience feeling like a gold medalist. By the way congratulations to the Olympic medalist in cross country skiing! Go Norge
